It was our first time to Vienna and this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The hotel location was very conveniently located right down the road from the train station as well as down the road from the shopping street MariahilfStasse.. the Metro station is very convenient as well that leads to the main shopping district Stephenplatz. The rooms were relatively spacious and really clean/comfortable. The hotel staff were really friendly, special shoutout to Mark who was really nice and friendly. Upon check in he gave us some tips and recommendations on places to go and how to get about Vienna. He always went out of his way to recommend places for us to visit on our day trip to Budapest. Which was also very beautiful! Overall experience at this hotel was great and definitely highly recommended! Thank you Mark and Mercure hotel!

We stayed in a suite, which was a good size for a family with a child – spacious enough and comfortable in terms of layout. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets were clean, and the towels – although a bit old – were also clean and usable. Breakfast was definitely the highlight! It was the same spread every day, but very generous with lots of variety – enough that we managed to eat something different each of the 4 mornings we were there. The location is also great – there’s a metro station about 10 minutes away and a tram stop even closer. We were able to get to all the main attractions fairly easily. - the spa was clean and really useful for relaxation

It's a nice place to stay in a safe area. Despite of what is said about poor breakfast choices, it was one of the most diverse and best breakfast I ever had in a hotel. They give you plenty of fruits, tea, milk, fresh bread, juice, delicious cheese and not only. It'a linked to 3 subways, easy to get by foot and also it has a wonderful comercial area close to it. Also, Raimond Theatre it is just on the other side of the street. They helped me even with german translation in order to buy a ticket at the State Opera. So i totally recomend it for a safe place to stay. The room is big enough, they offer youa bottle of water in the first night.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable, however the.pillows very soft, even having two were not sufficient. The bathtub was very high and can be difficult to get in and out of the shower if someone is older or has mobility issues. The hotel was in walking distance to one of the train stations, and also close to the transit and Mariahilf. If you want to walk to the centre it's about 40 minutes or 10 minutes on transit.

The location was not the best, near three U bahn stations (3 minute walk, 8 minute walk and 10 minute walk), we felt a bit unsafe in the nearest station (Gumpendorfer) and the way to Margaratengürtel station also felt a little unsafe. The area the hotel was in was great, and near Westbahnhof and Mariahilferstrasse, so lots to choose from in terms of food and transportation. The room was comfy and spacious with all the necessary amenities, bathroom was convenient as well.
